Biography
For the first time, with 'dream path', the versatile Six Nations musician, singer, songwriter Darrin Jamieson
allows a glimpse into the inspiration of his music. This first CD of original works is deeply rooted in personal
and family passion. The music and lyrics have been crafted to reflect a values driven view and philosophy on life
that is uplifting, and will inspire listeners to let their souls shine. Enjoy the journey.
In realizing this dream, Darrin's path was joined by many great musicians over the years. As an accomplished
drummer and arranger, having played professionally for over 20 years, he has shared the stage with Holly Cole,
Michelle Wright, the Neville Brothers, Downchild Blues Band, our own Murray Porter, Faron Johns, Sid Hill,
Mark Laforme, Uncle Stubs, and many others. In 1997, his band at the time, Three Wheel Drive, teamed up with
Josh Miller to record their 'Blues, Funk & R&B' CD, which led to many mini-tours to festivals throughout the
United States and Canada. Recently, Darrin played drums in the house band for the Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards,
2003, backing up many great performers including Susan Aklukark, True Rez Crew, Lawrence Martin, Derek Miller and
many others. Currently, Darrin still plays drums for The Soul Kings, also fronted by Josh Miller.
All of these experiences and influences combined with growing up on a steady, yet diverse musical diet of rock,
blues, jazz and everything in between, has led Darrin to finally being recognized as a songwriter of powerful and
beautiful music. Darrin and his daughter Carly still live and thrive in their home community of Six Nations of the Grand River.
